The Future You Can Wear – FashionTEX Opens the Digital Stage for the ERKI Fashion Show 2026

Digital fashion, virtual worlds, and new creative perspectives: The Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA), based in Tallinn, is presenting innovative FashionTEX projects by its students—hailing from the departments of Fashion, Accessories, and Textiles—as part of the ERKI Moeshow 2026. In doing so, the Academy impressively demonstrates how the next generation is reimagining fashion. These works were created within the international FashionTEX project, blending fashion, technology, and digital storytelling into visionary concepts that bridge the gap between reality and virtual staging. The students developed their projects during introductory and advanced CLO3D courses, thereby deepening their expertise in digital garment modeling, fabric texturing, and animation.

The result is a collection of creative works that blur the boundaries between physical and digital fashion. The presentation explores how digital tools and experimental formats are transforming the future of fashion and enabling new modes of creative expression. In this context, clothing becomes an integral part of a dynamic creative cycle—one that is constantly evolving and opening up new avenues for design and visual storytelling.

In keeping with the motto of the ERKI Moeshow 2026—”At the End of the Circle Lies a Beginning”—the projects engage with themes such as transformation, repetition, and renewal. A key source of inspiration is the ceaseless motion of the sea, which shapes and alters coastlines, constantly bringing them into being anew.

Developed using digital tools such as CLO3D, Blender, Substance, Final Cut, and various other applications, these works offer fresh perspectives on fashion design, digital presentation formats, and the creative future of European fashion education.
