Digital Knitwear and Creative Processes – Anna Ploskacheva in the International FashionTEX Program

Anna Ploskacheva is a Master’s student at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where she focuses intensively on digital design processes and contemporary fashion design.

She is currently working on a project for a knitted dress, utilizing digital methods to flexibly develop and visualize forms, materials, and patterns. In her creative process, Anna first models the garment’s basic silhouette as well as the fabric structure, subsequently experimenting with various patterns and surface textures.

She finds the ability to test digital designs directly on an avatar particularly exciting, as it allows her to gain a realistic impression of proportions, visual impact, and materiality at an early stage. For Anna, digital fashion design opens up new creative freedoms and innovative avenues for efficiently refining design concepts.
She views her participation in the international FashionTEX program as an inspiring opportunity to expand her digital skills, explore new technologies, and exchange ideas with international creatives from the fields of fashion and design.

The international FashionTEX project fosters a creative space for interdisciplinary collaboration, innovative ideas, and fresh perspectives on the future of fashion.
