Creativity at the Intersection of Fashion and Technology – Maja Sikorska at the FashionTEX Makerspace 2026

Maja Sikorska is studying Fashion Design at the Lodz University of Technology and is currently in the sixth semester of her Bachelor’s program.

For Maja, fashion is far more than just clothing—she views it as a form of personal expression through which identity, emotions, and individual stories become visible. In her creative work, she combines artistic concepts with modern technologies, with a particular interest in digital fashion and innovative manufacturing processes.

She is especially fascinated by technologies such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and digital design, which open up new possibilities for contemporary fashion. Maja sees great potential in the fusion of creativity and technology for the future of the fashion industry and aims to further explore these approaches in her own design practice.

Her long-term dream is to build her own authentic fashion brand, incorporating both innovative and sustainable concepts into her designs.

Maja regards her participation in the FashionTEX Makerspace 2026 as an inspiring opportunity to acquire new skills, gain international experience, and collaborate on innovative projects alongside young creatives from various countries. She is particularly looking forward to further developing her creative and digital competencies and discovering new perspectives for her future career as a designer.

The international FashionTEX program creates a unique space for creative exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative ideas at the intersection of fashion, technology, and design.
