Innovation, Sustainability, and New Perspectives – Tiago Vieira at FashionTEX Makerspace 2026

Tiago Vieira is a second-year fashion design student at the University of Lisbon.

Tiago is particularly passionate about 3D prototyping, which he believes has the potential to fundamentally transform the fashion design process. He sees great potential in it to reduce material waste and make a significant contribution to a more sustainable fashion industry. For him, the use of innovative technologies represents a crucial step toward more responsible and future-oriented design.

Collaboration and community are equally important to Tiago. He is convinced that creative processes flourish when people share their ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Exchanging ideas with international designers provides him with fresh inspiration and motivates him to continuously evolve his own working methods.

Tiago views participation in the FashionTEX Makerspace 2026 as an opportunity to step out of his comfort zone, acquire new skills, explore diverse techniques, and gain a broader understanding of the international fashion industry. He looks forward to discovering new creative approaches and actively shaping the future of fashion alongside others.

The international FashionTEX program creates an inspiring space for creative exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative approaches at the intersection of fashion, technology, and design.

FashionTEX is co-financed by the European Union.
