FashionTEX is setting ambitious and significant goals to revolutionize fashion education!
FashionTEX is an exciting three-year project that started in 2024 and will train students at 11 European fashion universities in digital fashion! With a focus on future-oriented and more sustainable content, the curricula will be taken to the next level. The fashion industry is increasingly relying on digital fashion, from design to sales – and technologies are evolving rapidly. FashionTEX supports the next generations of fashion designers to shape the future creatively and innovatively. The beginning of a new era!
Fashion education in Europe often lags behind what the industry has long been leading. While some schools already offer advanced courses, others are still at the very beginning when it comes to digital fashion. FashionTEX ensures that these gaps are closed! With interactive atelier courses at each partner fashion school, we bring digital fashion design skills directly into the classroom. In our makerspaces residency program, we give promising young designers the opportunity to try out their skills with renowned experts
Through meetings, conferences and workshops – online and on-site – the partners work closely together to develop educational modules that will take teaching at the participating universities and beyond to a new level for years to come. The focus is on knowledge and the shared use of specialist expertise. The results will be incorporated into first-class, joint curricula that will enable European exchange programs for students and be passed on to lecturers and students.
Graduates’ job opportunities and potential to succeed in a competitive environment are significantly improved by skills in digital fashion and international collaboration.
